BRIEF CIVIL CEREMONY – simplified language (ESL)

PRESENTATION OF THE BRIDE
Is there one of her family who is prepared to present _(Bride)_ to _(Groom)_?  /
I do. / Her Mom and I do.

INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the marriage of _(Bride)_ and _(Groom)_ . You have been asked to gather here to witness and share in the joy of this union.

DECLARATION
If anyone can show any just cause why they may not lawfully be joined together, let him now declare it, or else forever hold his peace.

OR

If you know any reason why you may not be legally married, I ask you to declare it now.

Please pass your bouquet to your maid of honour? Please face each other and join hands.

VOWS
